Daryl works with executives in regulated markets to define and implement strategy, improve operational performance through transformation and to assure delivery with incisive reviews and recommendations. His clients include UK retail banks and payment firms, utilities companies, regulators and top tier consultancies. He is also an inspirational and high impact professional speaker.

With 20 years experience at executive level in blue chip organisations, including a decade in financial services, Daryl has a reputation for identifying and responding to trends before others. His work with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority supported the UK regulator in defining and mobilising a new strategy for RegTech, improving the interface between the regulator and regulated firms. He was a catalyst in designing and delivering the FCA’s innovative TechSprint - securing support from Visa, Lloyds Banking Group, Fidor Bank, iproov, HCL and KPMG, as hosts. This pivotal event was a global first for any regulator worldwide and is now a permanent offering in the FCA’s Innovate Programme.

While at the Nationwide Building Society, Daryl created and led the Digital Development team and Group Innovation Lab, driving a new model of open innovation with partners in Silicon Valley and London's Fintech community. He has also led strategic reviews and restructuring projects following the financial crisis for both the Royal Bank of Scotland and Northern Rock, contributing to the restructure and return of these institutions to the private sector.

Regularly speaking as an authority on digital transformation, Daryl was the first private sector speaker to be invited to address the House of Commons Parliamentary Reception in 2015 when he spoke about industry forces reshaping UK financial services. He is recognised in the European Digital Financial Services ‘Power 50’ as one of the most influential people in digital financial services in Europe.

Away from his office and smartphone you will likely find Daryl in the gym. For 26 years he has exercised with weights and operated a not-for-profit service helping people to eat better and move more. Believing productive minds are built and sustained through the development of physical strength, Daryl educates and inspires good nutritional practice and exercise habits.
